Known as an authority on Russian music and Korngold, she was born into a musical family and traces her ancestry back to Louis Ferdinand, Prince of Prussia, who was her great, great, great grandfather. She is also a great-great-great-great-grandfather. Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3 is dedicated to Louis Ferdinand, so it goes without saying that she has a great affinity with Beethoven.
