OMEGA POINT + M Records joint project! This time it's Yuya Uchida's Flower Travelin' Band (FTB)! This crazy art event was produced by avant-garde artist Masunobu Yoshimura and others, and was held in the huge space "Festival Square" in the Expo site. The performance stage was set up in front of the towering Tower of the Sun, and 50 motorcycles rode around it with their horns blaring, creating an uncontrollable noisy chaos of amplified FTB music, motorcycle explosions, electronic sounds, searchlights beaming all around, messages on electronic billboards, and giant robots. The Expo management was too angry. The Expo management was so scared of the anti-establishment aspect of the event that they cancelled the show after only one performance, which was supposed to be part of a series.For these reasons, the existence of the "Beam-through" event has been whispered about only among researchers for a long time, and we had no idea that its sound recording had survived! In order to share the joy of this shocking and miraculous event with the world, we present here the most (and worst) black history of Expo '70, including newly unearthed and previously unpublished photos of the "Beam Through" event! The full-length version of "Beam Through" will be included on CD, and an excerpt on 10", with a custom-made spread jacket and oversized obi.
