Description:

Amazing album with Celibidacke v.s. Nilsson! A good stereo recording. Although not inexperienced, Celibidacke was never a great opera master, but he often performed operatic overtures in concert. However, he often conducted operatic overtures and other works in concert. This album is a collection of his masterful performances with Birgit Nilsson, who boasted of her overwhelmingly powerful voice. The Wagner works were once released on a pirate label called GALA, but the monaural sound is inferior and cannot be compared to this disc. The characteristic weak notes are extremely precise. The orchestral drive is delicate, yet skillful enough to create a great swell. The sensual beauty of the hot-blooded Celibidacke's development and Nilsson's magnificent singing with plenty of room to spare are deeply moving and numbing. The following year, the two singers performed three arias from Italian operas together again.Celibidacke's music making is as usual, and Verdi is also portrayed as a skilled orchestral writer. The music is filled with mutual respect, as if a dragon and a tiger were striking each other. The liner notes are by Kwang-Jun Hsu. Excerpts from the liner notes: "Wesendonck's Song" is more chamber music-like than "Tristan" because of the nature of the music, and the attention to detail of the sound is evident. The clear sound is somewhat like Ravel's. The "Dream" in particular is superb. In particular, "Dream" is a masterpiece. This music anticipates the second act of "Tristan" in which two young men embrace each other in the darkness of the night, and this recording clearly shows that his stick created a delicate music that makes the night air tremble and colors ooze.*Includes liner notes in English, Japanese and German Tobu Land System
