Symphony Space Battleship Yamato" was composed by Kentaro Haneda, aka "Haneken", a genius arranger and pianist, using the theme motif of the nationally popular anime "Space Battleship Yamato", and was first performed in 1984 by the NHK Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Naoto Otomo, and was released on LP/CD by Columbia. Focusing again as the only symphony composed by Mr. Haneda, we recorded a live performance of the piece again in 2018. Released as a classical work to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Haneken's birth. This definitive recording appeals not only to Yamato fans but also to classical music fans with a performance that reads every detail of the score by Naoto Otomo, who has supervised and conducted the performance since its premiere.
