Official Remasters Series by Tangerine Records, founded by Ray Charles! This time, instead of reissuing past albums, this groundbreaking compilation of single songs released in the early 60's that were not available on the albums have been compiled into a single disc. Even though the songs were not included on the album, they are still top 10 hits on the R&B charts, including "No One," "Hide Nor Hair," "At the Club," and "Don't Set Me Free. As the title says, "There's No One Like Ray! This is a rare album that proves that "There's no one like Ray! In the 1950s, Ray Charles had many hits with Atlantic Records, including "What I Say," and reached the top of the R&B and gospel world. He also released a new interpretation of country music, "Modern Sounds in Country & Western Music," on his own record label, Tangerine Records, in 1962, and the single "I Can't Stop Loving," which also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Pop charts. It also won a Grammy the following year, making it the best-selling album by a black musician and in country. The follow-up release, Vol. 2, was also highly acclaimed, both of which changed the course of popular music and served as a testament to Ray's genius.Then in 1973, he left ABC and closed Tangerine at the same time. He established a new company, Crossover Records. After 50 years, Tangerine Records was revived and released a 6-CD box set "True Genius" in 2021. Since then, the label has remastered and re-released some of its hard-to-find masterpieces on LP and CD.
