Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke's Return to Forever's last studio album from 1977, "Music Magic," is being re-released! The album features a five-piece horn section, including returning original member Joe Farrell on saxophone, and vocals by Corea's wife, Gail Moran, for a gorgeous orchestral sound. The band's final tour with this album will be the end of the band's tour. After the tour that accompanied this album, the band disbanded (and later reunited). Return to Forever is an American fusion band. After leaving Miles Davis' group, Chick Corea released "Return to Forever" (1972) under his solo name on ECM. Stanley Clarke (Ba), Joe Farrell (Sax), Iart Moreira (Dr), and Flora Purim (Vo), who participated in this work, used the album title as their band name.This was the first phase Return to Forever, and "Light as a Feather," released on Polydor in 1973, was nominated for two Grammy Awards that year. In the second period, Bill Connors (Gu), Steve Gadd (Dr), and Mingo Lewis (Per) replaced Joe, Aiart, and Flora. Steve and Mingo soon left, but Lenny White (Dr.) joined the band and released "Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy" (1973). The band continued to have hits while changing members, breaking up, and reforming, and influenced the scene as an innovative band that brought electric elements to jazz.
