Description:
The definitive recording of Rachmaninoff's masterpiece, Symphony No. 2! Japan Sinfonia, led by Yoshitoshi Inoue, is well known for its beautiful sound with very careful music making. The sixth release in the series is Rachmaninoff's masterpiece, Symphony No. 2 in E minor. The performance is a true testament to the orchestra's motto, "An orchestra is a giant chamber orchestra," and one cannot help but be impressed by the beauty of the way the strings sound, as well as the wind instruments that seem to melt with the strings and sparkle with the sound. The players, including conductor Yoshinobu Inoue, have spent many years studying and performing in Europe, which is why they give us a performance that is authentic to their home country. This is a definitive masterpiece of the same piece! This is a pure recording by Mr. Keisuke Saito of the ALTUS label, a work of great confidence! Yoshiyoshi Inoue (conductor) studied piano in Vienna with Bruno Seidlhofer and Branko Chuverka. He later studied conducting under Serge Celibidacke, Horst Stein, and Leonard Bernstein. In 1992, he made his official debut at the subscription concert of the Czech National Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, and since then he has been performing in many countries in the Czech Republic and Poland. From 2001 to 2003, he was the Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Armenian National Radio Symphony Orchestra, and currently serves as the Music Director of the Japan Sinfonia and the Japan Gustav Mahler Orchestra from its inception. Since 2012, he has been a visiting professor at the Mongolian State University of Music and Dance. The Japan Gustav Mahler Orchestra was founded in the fall of 2003 by Japan Sinfonia Music Director Yoshinobu Inoue, who proposed the idea of creating an orchestra that would present authentic music not only from Japan but also from Japan to the rest of the world. The core members of the orchestra are Japan's top players who, like its music director, Yoshinobu Inoue, have a long history of performing in Europe and are currently active both in Japan and abroad.Through mutual understanding of musical direction through adequate preparation, the orchestra's policy is to return to its original starting point, which is that "an orchestra is a gigantic chamber orchestra.
