City Hunter the Movie [Limited Edition] / Anime City Hunter, Ryo Saeba is back! In 1985, Tsukasa Hojo began the serialization of "City Hunter" in "Weekly Shonen Jump", and in 1987, the TV anime began broadcasting, becoming a blockbuster series that culminated in a TV special broadcast in 1999. In 2019, a new feature-length animation will open as a project commemorating the 30th anniversary of the anime's broadcast. The voice cast includes Akira Kamiya as Ryo Saeba, Kazue Ikura as Kaoru Makimura, and the original cast has "miraculously" reunited. The staff is a mix of original staff and first-time creators, including Yoichi Kato, who wrote the screenplay, under the direction of first-time director Kanetsugu Kodama, who also serves as general director this time. The story is an original story written especially for this film. --City hunter Saeba Ryo, who is the most skilled underworld criminal in Japan, usually keeps an office in Shinjuku, where he and his partner Makimura Kaoru accept various commissions.
