I wanted to record a cycle of Beethoven's 10 violin sonatas, just once in my life! Antje Weidhaas' complete cycle of Beethoven's violin sonatas is now complete. After winning the Kreisler International Competition, the Bach International Competition, and the Joseph Joachim Hanover International Competition, Antje Weidhaas has performed as a soloist throughout Europe and also formed the Arcandt Quartet, performing with numerous artists in the chamber music field. Also known as a popular violin teacher, she has performed a wide repertoire of music from the Baroque to the 21st century. She has a special feeling for Beethoven's music: "This music exudes a deep humanity, which is a characteristic of each of the violin sonatas.And every Beethoven piece I know contains deeply moving moments."
