Natasha Korsakova received her first violin lessons from her grandfather Boris Korsakov, former concertmaster of the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, and was greatly influenced by her father Andrei Korsakov, a renowned Russian violin virtuoso. He is a violinist who continues the lineage of the great Russian violin school. Based in Switzerland, she is active in international orchestras, festivals, and concerts, speaks five languages, and is a published author of two novels. Manrico Padovani, also known as the "Wizard of the Violin" for his brilliant and astonishing technique, is a Swiss violinist of Italian origin. The duo of Korsakova and Padovani, who performed before Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican's Paul VI Memorial Hall, will trace the history of double concertos for two violins from Bach to Pärt.
