After holding the eminent positions of Kapellmeister of the City Theatre of Lübeck and the Theatre of Bremen, General Music Director of the Orchestra and Opera of Altenburg-Gera, Chief Conductor of the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, General Music Director of the City of Stuttgart, and Principal Guest Conductor of the Basel Opera, in 2013/14 he was appointed to the positions of General Music Director of the City of Dortmund and Chief Conductor of the Basel Opera. Since the 2013/14 season, he has served as General Music Director of the city of Dortmund and Principal Conductor of the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra. Following his Rachmaninoff Symphonies with the Dortmund Philharmonic (CD 21090, CD 21100, CD 21105) comes his recording with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Serbian orchestra he has been chief conductor of since 2017, which premiered in 1912. Symphony No. 3 by Reingold Gurier.
