Dominic Miller, Nils Lundgren, and Djimon Oslender are also performing with her, and they are already making a splash! Alma Naidoo is a singer/composer/lyricist based in Munich. This impressive debut album was produced by legendary German drummer Wolfgang Haffner, and features Dominik Miller, Nils Lundgren, Djimon Ostlender, and other splendid guests. She studied jazz singing at the Munich University of Music and Dramatic Arts in 2016, and after a semester at the Royal Academy of Music in London, she has been a member of ECM since the beginning of her career. She studied jazz singing at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Munich for a semester in 2016, and then honed her talent under Norma Winston, who also records for ECM. Her talent was discovered by Wolfgang Haffner on stage at the Burghausen International Jazz Week 2019, where she performed a jam session. They later performed together and were featured on his album "Kind of Tango" the following year in 2020. Hafner tells us.As soon as I heard Alma for the first time at a jam session in 2019, I was blown away, tremendously shocked." She has a unique and outstanding voice, and the prestigious German jazz magazine "Jazzing" praised her "delicate, wonderfully clear voice and perfect intonation". Alma's fragile voice and guest Nils Lundgren's warm and lyrical trombone solo are impressive (1), a Billy Joel cover duet with Djimon Oslender (4), a mournful minor-key ballad gently played on guitar by Dominic Miller (10), and many more. The debut album of this 25-year-old artist is "a real treat. This debut album by a 25 year old is a work that lives up to its title, "The Birth of a Star". This is a powerful work from Germany to the world.
