Michael Risberg and Nicholas DiSalvo, guitarists of the Massachusetts-based German doom metal/stoner rock band ELDER, have released a new album "WEITE", a psychedelic rock band formed in '22 with Ingwer Boysen from the German stoner rock band HIGH FIGHTER and Ben Lubin from the German noise pop band LAWNS. The second album by WITE, a psychedelic rock band formed in 2010 by Michael Risberg and Nicholas DiSalvo, guitarists of the German stoner rock band ELDER, along with Ingwer Boysen of the German stoner rock band HIGH FIGHTER and Ben Lubin of the German noise pop band LAWNS, is now available from Stickman Records in Germany! The album is the second album by WEEE, a psychedelic rock band formed in '22 and released on Stickman Records in Germany in 2012. The band's last album was well-received for its wide range of sound, which seamlessly connects the ELDER-derived heavy psychedelic sound to the psychedelic/progressive/krautrock and Canterbury music of the 60s/70s.The addition of a keyboardist to the band this time around has made the arrangements more multi-layered and, combined with the thick keyboard sound, has given the overall impression of a floating Canterbury/modern sympho feel. The band seems more cohesive as a whole than on the previous album, which was originally produced as a one-shot recording project in a session-like style, and while the playful, tricky playing is somewhat restrained, the emphasis is on familiarity and immersive melodies. This is a good album that is sure to captivate listeners of all kinds, from psychedelic rock to symphonic maniacs!
