Description:
Highly recommended, the long-awaited new work by Leanne Kruse! Contemporary+Cuban+Large ensemble in high purity and miraculous coexistence! One of the spearheads of contemporary jazz! The long-awaited new album by Dutch-born, France-based violinist Leanne Kruse is here! This is her fifth album as a leader, and we are very excited that she has finally come up with something extraordinary. Inspired by Cuba and recorded in Cuba", let's listen to the sound of this album. Let's just take a listen to the sounds here. You will be deeply surprised at how beautiful everything is. The music is so wonderful that I would give it a perfect score of 100 + α as a contemporary jazz piece. She has long been known for her outstanding compositional skills, but the sophistication of her compositions on this album is remarkable. In addition to the basic compositions, the string arrangements heard here are finished in a way that makes the best of the music. Next is the performance. The sound here is wonderful because it is very "present," like a modern Cubap sound, or an American clave played in the daytime. The pianist Alordo Lopez Nussa and his regular trio, who are backed in this album, are an important part of the sophisticated Latin elements of this album. A radical in the current Cuban music scene, he is the winner of the Montreux Jazz Piano Competition, where Tigran Hamasyan was one of the winners, so his influence on this album is quite natural. His brilliant achievement is that the music, while retaining its Cuban indigeneity, is released from it with a lightness that allows the work to have the beauty of a flexible tracing of the streamlines. The pursuit of jazz as an ensemble by Maria Schneider and Miho Narama, movements around South America - the Brazilian line that led to Kurt Rosenwinkel via Antonio Loureiro, Andre Memari, and Pedro Martins, the current Argentine folklore line of Andres Beausaerts and Carlos Aguirre, etc., and the slow techno trends of Nicola Cruz and Voodoohop, which are related to/influenced by these movements. The current line of Argentine folklore such as Andrés Beausaerts and Carlos Aguirre, and the slow techno trends such as Nicola Cruz and Voodoohop, which are related to and influenced by these artists, are also mixed together...resulting in a rather unique eclecticism and fusion. This is a very unique blend and fusion. What you hear here may be one of the unnamed music that sums up the "construction of a new view of jazz" that is happening simultaneously in many parts of the world today.
