Cyprian Katsaris New Chamber Music Project! Cyprien Katsaris' new recording for his own label, Piano21, is a new chamber music project. This ambitious album features French singer Cécile Eloire, who has previously recorded a collection of Hugo songs accompanied by Katsaris, and Pierre Renard, solo viola of the Orchestre National de l'Opera de Paris. The album includes works by Brahms and Leffler written for alto, viola, and piano, an arrangement of Wolff's Goethe songs for the same instruments, and a world premiere recording by French conductor and film music composer Laurent Petitgirard. This program fully demonstrates the appeal of Cyprien Katsaris, who is known not only for his superb technique but also for his deep poetic expression and sensitive, rich approach. Tokyo M-Plus
