Mireille Mathieu chante Piaf", a tribute album to the French diva Mireille Mathieu Edith Piaf, has been re-released with rare recordings and newly recorded songs, and has sold over 200 million albums worldwide. Born July 22, 1946 in Avignon, France, the eldest daughter of a poor family, Mireille Mathieu sang "Hymn to Love" on a TV singing competition in Paris at the age of 19 and won the competition. Called the second coming of Edith Piaf, she made her debut the following year in 1966 with "The Creed of Love" composed by Paul Moriah.Her trademark hairstyle, with its woped head, was her trademark, and she also toured Japan three times in the 1970s. The album to be released this time is a reissue of "Mireille Mathieu chante Piaf," a tribute album to Edith Piaf, which Mireille Mathieu recorded with an orchestra. The album includes famous songs such as "La vie en rose," as well as previously unreleased songs, live recordings, and a new recording made in 2023.
