The theme of this album is "the heartbreaking story of Shane, a chimpanzee with a pure heart who was raised as a human boy," and the band wrote, recorded, produced, and mixed all the songs themselves at their home studio on Long Island. The result is an outlandish concept album that intersects classic rock influences reminiscent of Queen and the Beach Boys with catchy melodies.
