The cellist is Paul Watkins, an English virtuoso who plays with the Nash Ensemble and others. The first release "Symphony No. 1 & Violin Concerto (CHSA5136)" with Tasmin Little received the "Recording of the Month" in the Record Art Review, BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone Magazine, and MusicWeb, and was named "Recording of the Month" by the BBC Music Magazine, Gramophone Magazine, and MusicWeb, respectively. It was one of Chandos' best-selling titles in 2014, and the second edition of the album is also a must-see.
