Here comes the fourth volume of a collection of works by Kyoshi Yagisawa, which includes popular works from CDs already released on DeHaske and Wako Records, as well as a new work. The title tune, "Pandora's Box," was commissioned by the Hokuryo Wind Ensemble. In Greek mythology, "Pandora's Box" is said to contain all kinds of disasters and must never be opened. Inspired by this story, this piece is a very dramatic piece of music. Also included are a total of 14 works, including "To a Bright Summer Day," a choral piece commissioned by the Kumamoto Prefectural Wind Band Association that seems to move toward hope, and "Homage"-a poem about the activities of the Kure Band of the Maritime Self-Defense Force and scenes from the sea, and other works.
