Melina Mogilevsky, the daughter of Marcelo Mogilevsky, a member of Puente Celeste and Argentina's most gifted reed player, and an outstanding musician in her own right, has released her long-awaited third album! Jazz, folklore, and electronic music. While incorporating a wide variety of musical influences typical of a contemporary musician, Melina Mogilevsky's unique voice, which is instantly recognizable, brings them all together and drives the music. Melina Mogilevsky's two albums to date have both attracted a great deal of attention for their subtle yet bold musicality. The long-awaited new album features Juan Berbis and Luciano Vitale, musicians who are heirs to the M.I.A. lineage, including Lito Vitale, and who freely cross over from jazz to progressive rock and folklore. As if to say that three musicians and a good studio are enough, the recording with these multi-instrumentalists has brought about an expansion beyond the previous works. The world view is further expanded by a diverse group of guests. Candelaria Samar, Fernando Cavusacchi, Cesar Lerner, and even Vitor Hamil from neighboring Brazil participate.The music and poems are electronic yet organic, liberating in a high-flying way, yet rooted in the earth.
