The long-awaited second ECM album in two years by the young Italian talent Giovanni Guidi Trio, 30 years old in 2015. The trio, featuring American bassist Morgan and Portuguese drummer Lobo, weaves a deeply original and profound performance, as on the previous album. The pensive, abstract ballads shine with the same inner tension as on the previous album, and, typical of ECM, each player has a strong sense of sound and silent apologetics. Most are Guidi's own originals, but "I'm Through with Love" and the Cuban standard Farres' "Quizas, quizas, quizas," as well as Lobo's "Quizas, quizas, quizas" and "Quizas, quizas, quizas, quizas, quizas, quizas. and "Baiiia" by Lobo!
