Exploring the personal life behind Zappa's big-name musical career that never escaped the political turmoil of the day," directed by Alex Winter ("The Great Adventures of Bill and Ted," his masterpiece), the Frank Zappa documentary film "Zappa" features Frank's widow Gail Zappa, and people associated with Zappa, including Mike Keneally, Ian Underwood, Steve Vai, Pamela Des Barres, Bank Gardner, David Harrington, Scott Tunes, Ruth Underwood, and Ray White. The soundtrack perfectly complements the film and is a must-have for Zappa fans. 68 tracks on the 5LP vinyl, including the original Zappa songs, the original Zappa songs, the original Zappa songs, the original Zappa songs, and the original Zappa songs.In addition to the performance from Saturday Night Live in 1978, the album includes 12 previously unreleased songs from the Zappa archives, 24 songs from the band's extensive 40-year catalog, Alice Cooper's "No Longer Umpire," the GTO's "The Captain's Fat Theresa Shoes" from Zappa's STRAIGHT / BIZARRE RECORDS label. Two classical pieces by Edgardo Varese and Igor Stravinsky are also included, as well as 26 original scores newly composed for the documentary by John Frisell.
