British blues rock to hard rock band formed in London in 1971 by ex-Savoy Brown members Lonesome Dave Peverett (vo, g), Roger Earl (b), and Tony Stephens (g), with ex-Black Cat Bones member Rod Price (g), Fogat. Their hard and cheerful boogie sound with twin lead guitars by Dave and Rod made them popular not only in their home country but also in the U.S. This 6-CD package includes 5 album titles released from 1972 to 1975 on Bearsville Records, plus a bonus disc. The albums are "Foghat" (1972), "Foghat (Rock & Roll)" (1973), "Energized" (1974), "Rock and Roll Outlaws" (1974) and "Fool For The City" (1975). The bonus disc includes "I Just Want To Make Love To You," a bold hard rock arrangement of the blues classic by Willie Dixon, as well as stereo and mono edits of single songs.
