Lee Ritner made his album debut in 1976 with "First Course. Since then, he has gone on to become a popular guitarist in the jazz fusion world. This album is a recording of a 1989 concert that Ritner held with a splendid lineup of guests that encompassed the 1970s through the 1980s. The album features the concert held on December 8, 1989 at The Coconut Grove in Los Angeles, and includes songs from "Portrait" released in 1987 and "Festival" released in 1988, as well as Stevie Wonder's Disc 1 Track 9, "Cause We've Ended As Lovers," features guest Steve Lukather, guitarist for TOTO, joining the Littner band for an impressive twin-guitar performance.
