This is the first release by Keith Jarrett's "Standers Trio," recorded in 1983. The trio, featuring Gary Peacock (b) and Jack DiJohnette (ds), surprised the scene at the time by bringing a new style to the standard tunes. The second song, "All the Things You Are," in particular, is a piano solo by Keith, and from the novel and impressive introduction, which starts in the middle of the theme melody, to the exuberant interplay between the three, it is a masterful performance that shows the trio at their best.
