The original master tape is in excellent condition, and it is no exaggeration to say that this is one of the best recordings made by EMI at that time. The master was digitized at 192kHz/24bit from the original analog master tapes in the original country, and mastered separately for this release on the SACD and CD layers. New commentary is included. The year 2023 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Flübeck de Burgos.He has visited Japan many times and is definitely one of the most familiar conductors in Japan, including guest appearances with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. He is well known for his recordings of Spanish music for DECCA and the former EMI, and many people may have the impression that he is flamboyant and dynamic with his music. Indeed, one can also recall his enthusiastic performances in the "Farija" and "Albeniz" series, as well as in the former EMI's "Rite of Spring". It is undeniable that the sales strategy of the record company at the time of his debut had an impact on his image. However, Flübeck himself was a very honest and sincere conductor who gave the most effective performance possible. However, it may not be well known today that he was also very popular in Japan because of the overwhelming performances he gave during his visits to Japan in his later years. The fact that he did not have a record company in his later years must have had an influence. On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of his birth, we have decided to reissue this recording of "Carmina" in high sound quality in order to reevaluate the musical trajectory that Flübeck certainly left behind, especially this "Carmina". This disc is one of the most highly acclaimed recordings of the same piece.At the time of recording in 1965, Jochum's re-recordings had not yet been released and stereo recordings were scarce, so the impact of this recording must have been great. The tempo is carefully considered, but the way the tension is concentrated is typical of Flübeck, and it is clear that the recording was made with ample preparation. The singers, especially L. Popp, are superb, as they are in the later disc with Eichhorn, but the famous solo on track 21 is a heart-stopping moment. The famous solo in track 21 is very moving. While many singers sing this part with almost the same nuance both times, Popp clearly changed the intonation, etc., the second time, and it is very moving. It is interesting to note that J.
