Description:

The second collection of the Beach Boys' classic "Pet Sounds" sessions, which has been a great success! The second collection of the popular Beach Boys classic "Pet Sounds" Sessions! Includes 4 CDs in paper jacket, carton case, and 6-page instruction booklet. Brian Wilson, who retired from live performance at the end of 1964, devoted himself to studio work on the concept album, and the process and session recordings of the album have been released to the public in the past. The full story is now available to the public! Inspired by the Beatles' "Rubber Soul" released in late 1965, Brian went beyond the traditional rock formation of guitar, bass, and drums to include keyboards, wind horns, a theremin, and various percussion instruments, Brian went beyond the conventional rock formation of guitar, bass, and drums, and attempted to materialize the sound image swirling in his head, making full use of keyboards, horns, theremins, and various percussion instruments. On DISC-1, recorded in February 1966, they boldly used the theremin on "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times" and "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times" by Wrecking Band member Tony Usher. The following day, the band members unusually performed "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times," which was recorded in February 1966. The next day, the band recorded seven takes of "That's Not Me," which was unusually performed by the members, dubbing guitars and recording harmonies. The following March, Brian recorded "I'm Waiting For The Day," a song that he had been waiting to record for several years, with Jim Gordon, known for his work with Derek & The Dominos, on drums. The drumming is strong and impressive. Hal Blaine is also absent on "Here Today," and you can hear Brian giving precise instructions to drummer Nick Martinis, who has taken his place. The highlight of the CD is "God Only Knows," which Paul McCartney praises as the most beautiful song in music history. The bass line, which is said to have been used as a reference in the Beatles' "Penny Lane," is carried by Ray Pohlman, not the usual Carol Kaye, but again Brian gives instructions about the bass. At this point, the players did not know the main melody. DISC-4 contains 19 takes of "Sloop John B." This is truly a "synth in your pocket. This is truly a "symphony in your pocket" realization work. This is a session record of the production process in which the genius Brian Wilson took on the challenge of materializing the sounds swirling in his head. One of the ways to enjoy the music is to try to imagine the feelings of the performers from these treasured sound recordings. Included is a Japanese explanation of the situation, episodes, and song titles of the time, from Eternal Grooves' "ROCK OFF" series! The jacket uses a licensed photo by Getty Images Japan.
