A new band, Diez, consisting of ex-Megadeth member Dave Ellefson and ex-Entombed A.D. and ex-Decapitated members, has released their debut album! The band delivers aggressive, moderately technical, melodic death/thrash metal. The album features the lead vocals of Ellefson, who says it is his first attempt. The band consists of Guilherme Miranda (Vo, G) formerly of Entombed A.D., Michal Lysejko (Dr) formerly of Decapitated, and Dave Ellefson (B, Vo) formerly of Megadeth. The band started last year and released a single that was a big hit. The band's debut album, "To Hell and Back," will be released soon. This superstar band brings together members of leading Swedish and Polish death metal bands and a thrash metal bassist representing the United States. Their sound can only be described as death/thrash metal. Aggressive, heavy, moderately technical, and melodic.Without a doubt, this is the most brutal style of any band Ellefson has been a part of. The title of the album, "I Went to Hell and Back," is both an expression of the world at the opening of the pandemic and a statement of Elefsson's new resolve. This album is a must-see for fans of death metal and thrash metal, as well as for fans of Megadeth. Elefsson's first attempt at lead vocals is also a must-hear!
