This time, she is joined by New York's Christian Sands, who is known for his urban pop sensibility. Sands, known in Japan as Christian McBride's pianist, is one of the hottest pianists of the new generation in New York. The talented young Sands will support Mullen with drummer Derion Gully, known for his work with Dianne Reeves, and bass player Bernice Earl Travis. Sands' rich musicality on the piano, which freely changes shape with Mullen's spontaneous high temperatures, is also a major highlight of the concert.The album includes excellent covers of classic songs such as "My Favorite Things," "Alfie" by Bacharach, "Honeysuckle Rose" by Fats Waller, and "Everyday" co-written by Sands and Mullen. and "Everyday," a collaboration between Sands and Mullen.
