Songs like “Burn It Down” and “You Will Never Be” are brimming with the energy of noisy alternative rock, similar to what he showcased in Blur’s classic “Song 2,” while in the more subdued tracks like “All Has Gone” and “Thank God for the Rain,” he masterfully performs delicate acoustic folk in the vein of Nick Drake and Bert Jansch. “This album includes some really chaotic tracks, but there are also quiet ones. I was still exploring different kinds of music and figuring out what I was capable of. If it feels natural, I’ll try my hand at various genres,” Graham says of the album, which was recorded, mixed, and mastered in just two weeks.
