Trumpeter Gabor Boldocki, acclaimed as "extremely gifted" for his stunning technique and high musicianship, performs works by Viennese and Bohemian composers of the Baroque and early Classical periods on trumpet and flugelhorn in his latest work from 2017. Boldocki performs concerto-like works by Neruda, who was Kapellmeister at the Dresden court in his later years, Dittersdorff and his pupil Vanhal, and Hummel, arranged for solo trumpet and flugelhorn. The orchestra will be accompanied by the late Jerzy Bělohlávek's leading Czech chamber orchestra, which he nurtured with great care. ＜Gabor Boldocki was born in Szeged, Hungary in 1976. At the age of 14, he was awarded the "Best Soloist of the Year" award at the Salzburg Music Festival in 2004. At the age of 14, she won the first prize at the International Competition in Zalaegerszeg (Hungary).At the age of 21, he won the highest prize at the Munich International Competition and the Grand Prix at the 3rd Maurice André Competition. In October 2003, he won the Echo Classical Award for Best New Artist, and in 2008 he was named Best Wind Instrumentalist by the Deutsche Fono-Akademie. The tradition of trumpet technique is carried on here with a light, lively, and contemporary flair.
