Accordionist Vivianne Chasso, born in Zurich in 1979, makes her Sony Classical debut with a collection of Haydn concertos on accordion (world premiere recording). Born in Zurich, Chasso took her first accordion lessons at the age of 12 and studied with Teodoro Anzelotti at the Accordion Department of the Bern University of the Arts in 2006. Her artistry is highly regarded and she has received various scholarships and awards. She is passionate about expanding her original accordion repertoire and has premiered many contemporary works and is active on recordings (several on the German GENUIN label). For several years now, he has been pursuing music from the Baroque to the Classical period for accordion, releasing albums of Rameau's harpsichord pieces and Haydn's piano sonatas played on accordion, and tackling new repertoire with rich expressive power. With a lyrical and overwhelming charm, he makes the slow pieces warm and lyrical, and the lively pieces joyful and exquisite. The Basel Chamber Orchestra backs him in a concerto that is full of new charm and enjoyment. Sony Music
