Track 8 is a masterpiece of meditative music! ◆Belgian musician Marguerite Erman has been active in ensemble projects across the genres of ambient, contemporary, and classical music, but this marks her solo album debut. ◆The album *Freedom* is primarily ambient in style, featuring performances on the harp, violin, modular synthesizer, and orchestra. ◆In the meditative piece “A Dive Into the Open” (Track 8), the longest track on the album at over 11 minutes, a beautiful motif—also used by Max Richter in his arrangement of Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”—appears in the middle section (from 4:26 for about 3 minutes). It creates an atmosphere that seems to invite the listener into an open, free world, making it incredibly captivating. Incidentally, Max Richter is also a friend of Margret Hellmann. ◆The sound, which makes full use of the unlimited range and timbres unique to modular synthesizers, is also worth noting. ◆The packaging is a digipak. Manufactured in the EU, the disc is produced by Optimal Media (part of the German EDEL Group).
