Bach by Queen Mlova! Violin by Guadagnini! Queen Mullova's fourth release for ONYX is a complete set of Bach's violin sonatas! Victoria Mullova is currently at the top of her game, as her previous album "Recital (ONYX 4015)" with Katja Lavec continues to be a bestseller and attracts a lot of attention. The recording session was preceded by a sold-out tour of Europe. Mullova has been using a Stradivarius violin until now, but this time she has newly acquired a Guadagnini (made in 1750), a famous Italian instrument.This is Mullova's first recording using the guadagnini, and was made immediately after her successful European tour. In her new recordings, Mullova, who has been researching period technique since the mid-1990s, uses baroque bowing and period technique and pursues baroque music thoroughly. Incidentally, Mullova's Bach music has been attracting a great deal of attention, as she is scheduled to release "Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin (complete works)" as well as this collection of sonatas! The queen of the violin world is taking on Bach again with a new instrument. The Queen of the Violin is back with a new instrument, Bach, and is sure to be a hot topic! Recorded in March 2007.
