Florio and Turquini, who have revived a great deal of Neapolitan Baroque music with their unrivaled inquisitiveness and historical research, recorded this collection of early 17th century Neapolitan church music with Roberta Invernizzi and other passionate Italian divas. The Neapolitan church music left behind by Neapolitan musicians who lived in the same era as Monteverdi.
