Description:
In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, Peter Hill and Benjamin Frith will present "Four Hands of Beethoven"! Peter Hill is a world-renowned authority on Messiaen whose performances and interpretations of the J.S. Bach series (French Suites and Mean Clavier Works Volumes 1 & 2) at the Delphian have won him acclaim not only in Europe but also here in Japan. Benjamin Frith, a member of the Gould Piano Trio and highly regarded as a "real Beethoven player" and a talented British artist who gave a wonderful Beethoven recital during his visit to Japan in 2019. Delphian's release celebrating the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth features the piano duo of Hill & Frith, who have been duo partners for many years, and includes fascinating works written by Beethoven for four-handed piano, from his early works to the "Grand Fugue" of his later years. The full combination, brilliant rhythms, and deep interpretations of the heavyweight, which won dazzling reviews on their previous work for Delphian, "Russian Music Collection" (DCD 34191), will shine even brighter in Beethoven.
