This album is a selection of Schubert's works from previously released recording projects of Schubert and Brahms, reconstructed. Although all of the works were originally written for different instruments, they are all beautiful masterpieces that are very well suited to the sound of the cello. They are accompanied by Paolo Giacometti, Whisperway's trusted pianist, and are a perfect match. Schubert's music had a profound influence on Wispelway's son, who was also a music lover. In 2022, six months before his 60th birthday, my son Dorian passed away. My family and I are in a state of shock, and every day is shaken to the core.
