Description:
C.P.E. Bach, the "Bach of Berlin". Although he left many works, there are not many works for organ. Also, many of the existing keyboard works are unknown as to which keyboard instruments they were actually written for, or which instruments they were actually played on at the time. It remains unclear whether the works included here were actually six pieces or even five. In fact, of the six works, only one autograph score survives, from the collection of Princess Anna Amalia of Prussia. The organ Copeman used for this recording also belonged to her and was built in Berlin in 1755 with a two-tiered keyboard, a row of pedals, and a very wide range for its time. Copeman plays C.P.E. Bach's inventive works in every direction. King International
