Description:

Joni Mitchell, one of the greatest female singer/songwriters of all time and a songwriter whose work is respected and shared across time and geographies, has just released THE ASYLUM ALBUMS (1976-1980), a box set of her late Asylum studio albums released in June 2024. ), the 1976 studio album "HEJIRA," which is so significant in the story of Joni's artistic evolution, is now available here as a stand-alone 180-gram heavy analog release! Joni Mitchell is a singer/songwriter of the highest caliber, who has garnered the same sympathy and respect from many musicians and listeners across time and regions. The "Joni Mitchell Archive Series" compiles her rare and precious recordings, and a box series of her studio albums released on the Reprise and Asylum labels are remastered to the latest standards. The "Reprise" series, a series of box sets featuring the latest remastered versions of her studio albums for the Reprise and Asylum labels, and other epic projects are currently underway that will once again re-evaluate her voice and sound around the world.Last July, she returned to the stage and released her latest live album "JONI MITCHELL AT NEWPORT" featuring her performances, and it just won the "Best Folk Album" category at the Grammy Awards, a global music festival held in February this year. The album is scheduled to be released in June 2024. The box set "THE ASYLUM ALBUMS (1976-1980)," a compilation of her late studio albums for Asylum, was just released in June 2024, and features Joni Mitchell, who began to explore a wider range of musical styles after moving to Asylum. The album is a stand-alone analog release of the 1976 studio album "HEJIRA," which is considered to be a significant work in the story of the artistic evolution of Joni Mitchell, an artist who began to explore a wider range of music after joining Asylum. The album, which has long been difficult to find on the market, will now be available to the world as a 180-gram weight vinyl version, featuring the latest remastering by Bernie Grundman, as well as a boxed set.The album HEJIRA is a great testament to Joni's artistic evolution. The songs here, such as "Coyote" and "Furry Sings The Blues," with Neil Young's harmonica echoing in the background, have an appeal that will never fade away, with their restrained tones and introspective lyrics. Joni once said of this album, "I think a lot of my other songs have been written by a lot of people, but the songs on 'HEJIRA' feel like they could only come from me.
