Jenny Lewis was the frontwoman of the American indie rock group Lilo Kiley. In 2014, she released her third solo album, "THE VOYAGER," which was also released as a solo artist alongside her band activities. THE VOYAGER" was produced after the events that dealt her a major blow, such as the eternal separation from her estranged father and the breakup of Lylo Kylie. This is an extremely personal work that reflects Jenny's anguish and struggle to overcome the tragedy. However, it is the dreamy and ennui nostalgic sound that shines a bright light on this work that was created in such a painful situation. Together with Jenny, collaborators such as Ryan Adams, Beck, and Jonathan Rice create a nostalgic sound with a dreamy, ennui-like quality. Making 'The Voyager' got me through some of the hardest and most painful times of my life," says Jenny. Lylo Kiley broke up, and then a couple of big things happened close to home, and I literally fell apart. I was already on the verge of breaking down. I had serious insomnia and didn't sleep for five nights in a row. THE VOYAGER was born out of the necessity of having something to occupy my mind. Jenny said of the album at the time of its release. THE VOYAGER, which debuted at #9 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and garnered accolades from Rolling Stone, Spin, and Pitchfork, will be released on deep blue Sea Blue analog in celebration of its 10th anniversary.The crystallization of Jenny's life has created "THE VOYAGER," an album that recounts her longest night and her journey to escape it and reach a place of rest, revived in a new guise.
