The legendary acoustic show recorded in New York in November 1993 for MTV's "MTV Unplugged New York" program has finally been released as a long-awaited official video release! The live recording was also selected as the first CD after Kurt Cobain's death, and "MTV Unplugged New York" was released in April 1994, reaching No. 1 on the charts in many countries and winning the "Best Alternative Music Performance" at the 1995 Grammy Awards. It also won the "Best Alternative Music Performance" at the 1995 Grammy Awards. Of course, there have been many requests for the release of a video version of the show since that time, and now, after 13 years, the fans' dream has come true with the release of this DVD. The set is reminiscent of Nirvana, with dark lighting and white flowers, and the songs are sung with acoustic guitars and strings in the background, revealing the essential charm of Nirvana, including the beauty of the melodies, Kurt's richly shaded vocals, and the ensemble of the band. The live performance will be performed by David Bowie. Kurt's favorite artists such as David Bowie, The Vaselines, and Meat Puppets will also be featured live, with members of Meat Puppets also appearing as guests.Bonus features include the original broadcast version, five rare rehearsal takes never before released, and "Bear Witness," a program produced by MTV in later years that examined the show!
