This is a live archive of the Bill Evans Trio recorded on March 19, 1965 at BBC Studios in London, featuring Chuck Israel, who joined the trio in 1961 after playing with Bud Powell and John Coltrate, as bassist, and Multi, who replaced Paul Motian as drummer in 1963. The drummer is Larry Bunker, a multi-instrumentalist who joined the band in 1963 as a replacement for Paul Motian.This is a must-hear archive for fans of Bill Evans' first leader album "New Jazz Conceptions" released in 1956, in which he gracefully expresses his original compositions and many standard numbers, and shows off his organic improvisations and solo turns.
