The cover of Donald Fagen's "Maxine" is so exciting that I can't stop myself from falling in love with it, This is the debut album by the Modern Times Ensemble, a group of musicians from New York, Vienna, London, Pescara, Los Angeles, Denver, Paris, Hamburg, and Rome, led by Paolo Montrone, who lives in Zurich. In addition to the sound and melody of Steely Dan's chord work interpreted in jazz diction, female vocalist Ursula Gerstbach's coquettish and bubbly voice is very appealing. The album also includes the song "Ramen Dilemma."
