Since then, DarWin has performed with Billy Sheen (Mr. BIG), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater), Guthrie Govan (Aristocrats), and other talented players, and will release a new album "Five Steps On The Sun" in 2024. DarWin, who has been depicting the total concept of human evolution, climate change, and other global-scale issues, will venture out of the atmosphere with this new album. One Step On The Sun," "Five Steps On The Sun," and "The Sun" are a suite of songs with enhanced instrumental parts, a grand epic on the scale of the solar system. In response to such a concept, this album is a collection of highly skilled musicians. Simon Phillips and Greg Howe, a superb technical guitarist who debuted on the "Shrapnel" label and has backed Michael Jackson, have been regular contributors since the first album.The band also features super bassist Mohini Day, who has toured with B'z and will be in Japan in August as a solo artist. In addition, Derek Sherinian, Andy Timmons, and Julian Pollack (J3PO) play in a breathtaking hybrid technical battle that transcends metal, progressive, and fusion. Matt Bissonette, who has played bass in the bands of Dave Lee Roth and Ringo Starr, joins the band as a vocalist, his voice combining power and clarity to broaden the soundscape. The basic tracks for this album were recorded live at Powerplay Studios in Maul, Switzerland, with DW, Simon, and Mohini.
