This is the first SA-CD-SHM release of Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker's sumptuous, esprit-filled performance of the ballet music for Offenbach's "The Joys of Paris" and Gounod's "Faust". Also included on this album is Offenbach's "Can Can" from "Heaven and Hell," which was not included when the LP was first released. Universal Music/IMS
