Beethoven's 250th anniversary release, commemorating Maestro Ozawa's 85th birthday. Maestro Ozawa's 85th anniversary release. 2016 marks the second year since the Saito Kinen Festival Matsumoto (SKF), which has been held every summer in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture since 1992, became the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival (OMF) in 2015, and the 25th time it has been held in total. Beethoven Symphony No. 7. The program was changed from the originally scheduled Brahms Symphony No. 4 in consideration of General Director Ozawa's health condition, and Symphony No. 7 was performed and recorded with the Saito Kinen Orchestra for the first time in 23 years since 1993. Seiji Ozawa also has another live recording of Beethoven Symphony No. 7 with the Mito Chamber Orchestra in 2014. The coupling includes Leonore Overture No. 3 from the 2017 OMF. This is also the first re-performance/recording in 19 years since the 1998 SKF. Green color label coated.
