[Beethoven's 250th anniversary and Kemp's 125th anniversary. First SA-CD release!] Following the three titles in November, the SA-CD-SHM series of Kemp/Beethoven recordings includes chamber music. 1965's recording of the complete cello sonatas with Fournier won the 1966 Record Academy Award and was highly acclaimed worldwide. At the time of recording, Kemp was 69 years old and Fournier was 58. The recordings were highly acclaimed from the time of their release, and were notable for being live recordings of two world-class soloists. This is the first time that the original Deutsche Grammophon master has been converted to DSD at Emil Berliner Studios in Germany. This is a Japan-only project.
