Okinawa no Utahai, a comprehensive art stage expressing prayers for peace, in which Cocco also participates, will release its first work! The album and live video work will be released simultaneously! Okinawa no Utahai" started in 2015 with Naoko Hedona, a pianist/arranger and Cocco, who were classmates in high school and the leader of the group, as the core members, under the theme of "What the island called OKINAWA continues to spin". It is a comprehensive art stage combining "music, images, and dance," and has been steadily expanding its scope, with performances in Okinawa in 2015 and 2016, in Okinawa and Tokyo in 2018 and 2022, and its first performance in Osaka this year. In this stage, genre-less music that mixes Ryukyuan classics, folk songs, pops, and classical music, images of Okinawa taken from various angles, and Cocco's singing and dancing intersect on stage, creating a stage where artists from various genres gather to express the life-size Okinawa and their prayers for peace to the world. The stage is a stage where artists from a variety of genres come together to express their life-sized Okinawa and prayers for peace to the world. The long-awaited release of the new work, which has so far only been performed on stage, has been decided.The live video work "Okinawa no Utahai 2022" contains a total of 16 songs carefully selected from the Okinawa and Tokyo performances held in 2022. The performance is a cross between Cocco's songs and dances and genre-less music that mixes Ryukyuan classics, folk songs, pops, and classical music, and images that capture Okinawa from various perspectives, and a stage that brings together artists from various genres to express a life-size Okinawa and a prayer for peace to the world. The collaboration of Cocco and Bingata-dyed Kimono by Yuken Teruya, an artist from Okinawa who lives and works in Berlin and whose works have been exhibited at the British Museum in England, is also a must-see live video work.
