Noriko Amano, a harpsichordist who studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatory and is active in the Netherlands as a specialist not only in Italian, German, and other styles but especially in the French style, and Sayuri Yamagata, a violinist who is a member of the 18th Century Orchestra and concertmaster of the Netherlands Bach Society. The Sonata with Obligato Harpsichord by J. S. Bach is performed by Noriko Amano, a harpsichordist based in the Netherlands who specializes not only in Italian, German, and other styles, but also in French styles in particular. The sonatas on this album are in the form of trio sonatas, composed around 1720 and continued to be modified until the end of his life. The CD version contains all six pieces, while the LP version features a selection of the pieces and also includes a rare recording of a different manuscript.
