This mysterious album on the theme of "night" features the Ebène String Quartet, which captivates audiences with its creative approach. The quartet's thrilling virtuosity bursts forth with gorgeous guests! The three pieces on this album are all music on the theme of "night": Henri Dutilleux's Quartet "Night is like that" (premiered in 1978), Arnold Schoenberg's Sextet "Purified Night" (composed in 1899), and to connect these two masterpieces, the Ebehne String Quartet's cellist (who is also a member of the Ebehne String Quartet) and the cellist of the Ebehne Quartet (who is also a member of the Ebehne Quartet). The "Night Bridge" is a nocturnal poem for string sextet composed by Raphaël Merlin, then cellist of the Ébène Quartet, to connect these two masterpieces. This piece is a re-creation of four jazz standards related to night: "Moon River", "Night and Day", "Stella in Starlight" and "Round Midnight". ≪The quartet is joined by violist Antoine Tamestit and cellist Nicolas Altstedt for "Night Bridge" and "Purified Night.
